Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to the United Nations General Assembly podium to accuse him of supporting Hamas and making Jewish New Yorkers feel unsafe

Those Jewish New Yorkers can always move Israel if their life is so bad here now.

I’m not sure you want to own “If you don’t like it here, move back to your own country” rhetoric.

Well, that’s why the state of Israel was formed, so Jews all over the world would have a place to go if they feel unsafe where they are. All the genocidal colonialism was for nothing if they’re not even going to use it for what it was intended for.

The original Zionists were pretty explicit about being colonizers, it was more about stealing land than being safe.

So, I don’t really want them to use Israel for what it was intended for. I’d rather they stay here actually.

Feeling unsafe != Living in danger. Is NYC a dangerous place to live for Jewish people? I’d be surprised if it’s the case. I’m getting tired of politicians equating feelings with facts.

They’ve always arrested protesters who break the law. I support protesting, and in this case I support them breaking the laws they broke, but if you do that, you’ll probably be arrested. I wouldn’t support a mayor picking and choosing which causes protesters can and can’t break the law with impunity for.

Y’know, damn I don’t like it either but you’re right about consistency. We’re currently mad at the sitting villains in power for doing this exact thing.

Guy walked into NYC, swung his dick in your face, and walked right out.

I thought this would be a bar joke.

      Like, man walks into NY.

Slaps his dick in everyone’s face.

      Then leaves.

And everyone is thinking if they should gang up and jump him outside, but they’re too afraid.

And the bartender goes, “why the long noses?”

This is why I no longer read opinions of New Yorkers. Hypocrites, everyone of them.

Over 100 of them were arrested for protesting this. Which you would know if you bothered to RTFA

          100 NYrs arrested Bibi‽

“I want elected leaders here in this country to catch up to the American people,” said actor and activist Cynthia Nixon, “who understand that what is happening in Gaza and Palestine is a war crime.”
“He needs to be tried in The Hague”
“I’m here because I want to stop US complicity in the genocide that is happening in Gaza and the West Bank,” said Nixon. “I want to stop us funding Israel, I want to block the bombs, and I want elected leaders here in this country to catch up to the American people and people everywhere around the globe who understand that what is happening in Gaza and Palestine is a war crime, it’s unacceptable, and it’s wrong, and history will judge them very harshly.”
“There’s an arrest warrant out for Benjamin Netanyahu for the war crimes he’s committing in Gaza,” said Sumaya Awad, director of the New York-based Organizing for Adalah Justice Project. “ Trump is refusing to arrest him so we’re taking to the streets to make it clear to our government, and to future generations who will look back on this moment, that we refuse to normalize genocide. We refuse to normalize sending billions to commit war crimes, meanwhile our own schools and hospitals here are underfunded.”
Protesters chanted, “Netanyahu, you can’t hide, you are wanted for genocide!” and “Not another penny, not another dime, no more money for genocide!”
Stefanie Fox, executive director of JVP, noted that “as we protest, the Israeli military expands its genocide in Gaza and destruction across the region,” while “we are living through the crushing conditions of expanding fascism here in the US.”
“But this is a movement that refuses to give up, and we know we can end this,” said Fox. “From the streets of NYC to the halls of Congress we will be relentless in our demands to stop arming Israel.””

Desires noted, but no leverages, thus no demands. Instead they got arrested, and will likely end up in NASSAU COUNTY CORRECTIONAL CENTER, BROOKLYN MDC, ORANGE COUNTY JAIL (NY), BROOME COUNTY JAIL, ALLEGANY COUNTY JAIL, BUFFALO SERVICE PROCESSING CENTER, or NIAGARA COUNTY JAIL.
