The article has a point. His death being manipulated and leveraged politically to keep a seat for the Republicans is exactly what he would have wanted.

I honestly wonder in what way you think the Democrats are worse than the Republicans. Even before Trump turned the Republicans into a clown show, it was the party of greed, selfishness and corruption. Bush lied to start a war with Iraq. Reagan destroyed the middle-class because rich people needed to get richer. They’ve supported wars for oil, lies about the environment, sinking people deeper into debt.
I completely agree that the Democrats are not always great, but at their worst, they’re almost as bad as the Republicans. Never worse. Everything bad they’ve done, the Republicans have done worse.

Do you mean the 1880s? Nothing about his platform has ever been anything like the postwar Dems.

Can you explain what made you vote for him 3 times? Because that’s something I honestly don’t understand.
The first time I can understand. It was already known how corrupt he was, but most of the media ignored it and I can understand how you didn’t know. But surely after his first term, it must have been pretty clear what a terrible person he was? How corrupt he was?
Many members of his own cabinet, people who believed and supported him, spoke out against him. Mattis, McMaster, Tillerson, Pence, Bolton, Kelly and tons of others pointed out his incompetence, his corruption and his extremism.
I can forgive voting for him once, because you didn’t know. But 3 times!? How does that happen?

Their death doesn’t solve the underlying problem. The problems are systemic. If his death just means he’s replaced by a similar asshole, that doesn’t solve anything. Wishing each other dead is not going to fix anything.
But I also don’t wish anyone dead out of principle. I oppose the death penalty out of the same principle.
I make one exception for Putin. He is the problem. His death would immediately prevent thousands of unnecessary deaths every day, in a way that Trump’s or Netanyahu’s death wouldn’t.

I never wish anyone dead, but don’t expect me to shed tears over one of the architects of the destruction of the US.

Good practical examples are the car driver vs the Amazon driver. When you drive a car, you go where you want, but at the superhuman speed of a car. The Amazon driver has a computer telling them where to go, how to drive there, and even cameras to watch if you drive according to Amazon’s rules. The driver has become the extension of the computer, instead of the other way around. That’s a reverse centaur.
They’re not selected for intelligence, but for sociopathy.
