      Mosquitos lay eggs in stagnant water, eggs to larvae can happen overnight.

      But it still requires stagnant water, I’d be more worried about the bacterial load than the wrigglers.

      From my deep dive back in Y2K days, potable water is no joke. It was one reason why I gave up on the pursuit of prepping then and said whatever happens happens. So the answer is simple, stop trying to keep the water fresh. It doesn’t take long.
