There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they’ve already enlisted in the cause. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

News@lemmy.world•Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close Trump ally, dies after a brief and unexpected illness, his office says
2·19 hours agoMy mother was once hit from septic shock, and barely got through it. She waited thinking it was just something she ate or whatever, and had they waited another 30 mins to call 911, it would have been too late. Don’t ignore your body tells.
I’m a context before accuracy person. If I can understand what they’re saying and their point, I’ll let minor things go. I will go back and reedit my own mistakes though, over and over, because I can’t stand myself doing it. But I’m here for the discussion, not the grammar and spelling grading.

5·23 hours agoUnfortunately there are things that can come out of nowhere, even for younger people. It’s not common, but still a bit scary to think about. You can be fine one day and suddenly if you don’t notice the symptoms early enough… Septic shock is a big one. Stroke and heart issues are others.

3·23 hours agoWhich ending? I’d take either that you were hinting at. An Arya ninja move from nowhere, or a Bran the Broken settlement. Either way, at least with reality we’ll be able to see what’s going on at night.

politics @lemmy.world•Trump hijacked US’s 250 anniversary to serve ‘political ideology and pet projects’, congressional report says
11·11 days agoRemember, Trump is a symptom of a deeper and older problem. Maybe we should take this anniversary and reflect on the various ways we’ve screwed up. The 200th was different, as we did have lots of the same issues festering, but there was a feeling of hope to better ourselves. Now we know that was delusional and we should have done some serious housecleaning instead of being so gullible.
Big Trolley propaganda. Note that they only show you the very near future path, and not what’s really ahead.

There’s a lot of very small details that AI would have messed up. Like the background stuff in the picture seems to match okay. But AI is getting better, or they could have had a good photoshop expert. The lettering is due to the camera resolution, I don’t see anything off in word placement or length anywhere.
If it’s fake, then they’ll flub up soon enough somewhere else in continuing it.
