War against woke is going to tear the USA in 2. As fucked up as SCOTUS repealing Roe V Wade is/was… it effectively established which states will be pro-science and which will be pro-ignorance.

Global supply chains are going to collapse/change-drastically. The administrations built on ignorance will inevitably fail as the world embraces renewable tech and abandons 20th century economic models.

So what do we do? Centralize authority at the Federal level and force all the people to accept science and liberal or social democratic values, and the more they resist the more we tighten our grip? Or should we split up? Let them have their evangelical Christian utopia while all the educated people come together and form a rational society? Or do we just patiently wait and continue to plead the case for liberalism or social democracy or third way, or whatever, and have faith that in the free market place of ideas the best and truest ideology will eventually out compete all others until it’s all that remains, end of history style?

        So what do we do?

First off Americans need to primary >75% of sitting democrats by 2028. DNC is full of boomer sellouts towing the line for the Epstien-billionare class.

I’m not saying that will fix everything; but it is 100% a pre-requisite to the USA recognizably existing past 20XX.

force all the people to accept science and liberal or social democratic values

Yea the rest of the world just calls that “Education.” USA has systematically defunded education and the result is a population that can barely think or learn. Even in Canada, most “Maple MAGAts” passed highschool with the equivalent of below 2.0 GPA.

So invest in school lunches, adequately supporting teachers, and start leaving kids behind until they catch up. Stop sending illiterate people to post secondary school.

evangelical Christian utopia while all the educated people come together and form a rational society?

That’s what they want and they’re willing to kill and die for it. So yea kind of. But instead of North vs South Korea it’ll be more like East vs West Berlin. AKA completely unsustainable and they’ll literally have to force people to stay.

patiently wait and continue to plead the case for liberalism or social democracy

We have a laundry list of problems to solve. MAGA could collectively off themselves in the most magically convenient way possible and we would still have work to do.

“Build it and they will come.”

You might have hit the nail on the head with “Project 2028”. A direct response to Project 2025. It’s so simple even a disgruntled magat could put 20 and 28 together.

Please. No Democrat is building this. There was a large, well funded team working on P25 from 2020 on, like it was a full time job.

Where’s the Dem equivalent of that? Who is top candidate? Where’s the party?

Look man I wanna respond in a productive way but between you acting like the ludicrous way the USA funds education is a mystery to solve and how you appear to think Trump’s P2025 team is some irreplicable feat of competence… I just feel like you’re not participating in this conversation in a way that I can meaningfully converse with you.

The P25 team is good at one thing: getting things done. Bad things, but they’re not sitting still. The entrenched Dems are not known for “doing”. Unless people get out there and oust some of these Dems, AOC style, I don’t think it’s realistic to expect much beyond their usual. Jeffries is even on Theil’s secret society membership list.

I read, daily, looking for those bright sparks, and I’m not seeing any more Mamdani’s grabbing crowd attention, do you? The latest Dem to grab anyone’s attention is Platner.

Who are they? Where are they?

The problem with voting to fund schools is it means voting to raise your own property taxes. This, when property taxes have skyrocketed in response to the housing market in the last 4 years. A relative had theirs go up from $2k to $3.8k since purchasing this decade. That is a lot, for working class. The same as a $150/mo rent increase in a situation that’s supposed to be escaping rent. And it goes up every year.

Let’s be real about home ownership, most of working class that has a house still on mortgage is house poor. Meaning, they manage to pay the mortgage but can’t afford shit. Rice, beans, eggs. Rent is a max payment per month, mortgage is a minimum payment per month. Stuff breaks, problems happen, and maintenance to prevent more problems from starting is a constant money siphon.

The fact that state and local lawmakers choose to fund schools on property tax initiatives is fucked up. The last couple in my area failed. Why? Everyone is already squeezed to death financially.

For schools to be funded, lawmakers need to find another way. How are they funding everything else? Do that.

Ok, I’m confused. if schools are funded by property taxes, wouldn’t they be more funded now because the property taxes are higher? Because the property taxes are increasing because the value of the house is increasing right? That doesn’t increase the expenses, all the money should be way more than what it used to goto school in the past

The USA funds schools municipally, while most other countries fund it federally or state/provincially. Problem with municipalities is that they’re too small to issue bonds so their only way to raise money is through property taxes.

USA deliberately did it this way so that they could keep black people in poverty. They red lined them into low property value areas and then made them fund their own schools. That’s why every time black communities actually built wealth they were literally burned and bombed to the ground.

Schools are funded by property taxes, but property taxes aren’t only used for property taxes, they get used for all sorts of things. Hell, my former state at one point added a certain amount from the lottery to the school funding, then promptly took away that much from property tax funding to pay for some other dumb thing.

At this point, breakup is almost inevitable. States with a strong urbanized core and rural dominant states I fear can no longer reconcile. It didn’t have to be this way, but it’s too late for wishing for a different world.

I could see state lines changing based on urban centers for sure. Like AZ might be reduced to Pheonix, Tuscon, and in between. While the counties outside become a part of NM, NV, or UT.

I could see counties east of the Cascades in WA or OR joining IH.

Could also see Florida breaking into North & South.

Edit: LMAO imagine that happens and a bunch of Florida Men have to unironically identify as “Northerners”. Fuckin priceless.

Split up in to 50 countries. Give tax breaks on moving expenses and keep open borders for 5 years. Hell, give people money to move.

Get Americans sorted in to their tribes and call it a day on the “united” states. Republicans can have all the states rights they want while progressive states - I mean countries - continue to work together.
