Christa Pike was “angry and confused” in the hours after regaining consciousness following Tennessee’s failed execution attempt, first asking, “Where am I?” her lawyer said Wednesday.

Pike, believed to be the first person to survive after receiving lethal injection drugs during an execution, stunningly woke up as plans were being made to remove her from life support, just six days after she was strapped to a gurney in the death chamber, said attorney Randy Spivey.

“But on Tuesday, to the shock of everyone … Christa woke up and began talking,” Spivey said.

I mean if it were me and I knew I was going be killed for years and then the day comes and it doesn’t go to plan I’d be pissed as well. I would have had time to prepare for my fate, to accept it, and then days later wake up in a hospital bed cause they fucked it up? yeah man, that would rightly piss me off. So what now? they try again? just keep her in prison for the rest of her life instead? I don’t condone her crimes but she’s got every right to be pissed like you said.

It’s more than that. Imagine sitting 20yrs in a room, never knowing if it is THIS week you’d finally die. Or maybe the next. This is just torture. Civilized nations don’t do that, no matter if this cunt actually deserves it or not (which is debatable). That is personal, and humans tend to do personal things. But nations should not.

If you want to see a Nation’s level of development, look at how they treat the poor, the animals and their incarcerated.
