Not really relevant but my family on my father’s side (he was a veteran along with my grand father) has a confirmed millennium long military service heritage where closer to me, some of my ancestors were German mercenaries while another branch of my family were with General Washington at the battle of Trenton. That must been really awkward later. Maybe not as bad as when another generation later my ancestors murdered the fuck out of each other during the civil war, extra awkward is that we have our own graveyard where they’re all buried together.

Also just to add on. The US military has what I believe is an invite only “war college” that Whiskey tango never attended. All top officers and administrators from around the world have taken classes from it… except Hegseth.

Hegseth never went above being a Major or field officer. His place in the military machine was focusing on a small specific spot in operations.

To over simplify things, Hegseth was in charge of making French fries at a store, but later was really good at kissing ass while exaggerating how smart he is. Now he’s the CEO and has no idea what the fuck he’s even saying. Extra level of fuckery is he has fired anyone who has questioned his leadership or has unfortunately been born anything but white and male. Also I imagine ugly people aren’t getting promoted either.

My understanding is the battery/inverter will go into something like safe mode after a certain number of days of not being able to call home. I haven’t been able to confirm or deny this but I do know Tesla doesn’t like you interacting with the battery directly.

There is a premade meal delivery service with possibly the best product right now on the market. Unfortunately after I did a deep dive on them to figure out why their customer service sucked so much, I found the head of their “customer experience” had liked/heart emoji’d these two AI companies.

After telling my experience to another dev, they noticed an advert by an AI company boasting how they provided an service for them.

For tech savy people, the heart of the problem is because they used the user email address as the primary key in multiple places. So not only a varchar primary key but a natural one to boot! Not even a drop in the bucket but they lost ~10K USD of revenue for what should have been a 1 minute begin; update... SQL command by the DBA. Though the large amounts of AI makes me think they fucked themselves on that too. Another reason I suspect that; they had a data breach at the start of the month but haven’t made a public statement or warned their customers. Might not even know, might not know how it happened, and how much was stolen.

They want to sneak it in with the reconciliation process? I don’t think the Senate parliamentarian is going to be too keen on that idea.

Near the bottom of the list of the saddest things I saw last year was a video clip of an “every day” major Musk fanboy coming to terms that their hero was a wackjob drug addict. I often wonder if that is the reason Reddit dropped it, to make controlling and influencing the user base easier? A joke example, seeing +100 to -99 votes regarding the sacrilege or glory of pineapple on pizza is a lot different then just +1 or -1

Reddit’s shadow ban system is another part of why I don’t trust them. Plenty of times I’ve seen posts where metadata says there are multiple comments but instead its empty without even the [deleted by reddit] trail. Could be just their distributed database taking its sweet ass time to become consistent or maybe those people are on some sort of shit list?

For myself I know I keep saying something that results in me getting some extra attention from an LLM because I keep getting sub 30 second instant bans and warnings for ambiguous comments that sound threatening but aren’t. I lost a 20 year old account because of the comment “We should never have killed that fucking bear” being determined as advocating violence.
