Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was personally and explicitly warned that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning a major attack roughly 10 days before the October 7 massacre, but dismissed the threat and did not alert his security chiefs, according to a shocking new Haaretz report.
The revelations come from research for an upcoming book Hostages: 843 Days of Abandonment, written by journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval, who writes for Haaretz.

Bingo. It’s like 9/11 if you would believe it.
I’ve heard the same for pearl harbor (if you’d believe it).
I think American military knew the Japanese were planning on attacking, but underestimated the severity of what the attack would be.
The Americans knew what was going on before the Japanese ambassador did, because they had wiretapped the embassy, and their codebreakers decoded the message before the Japanese diplomatic workers did.
If 9/11 was about a music fest or other youth gather, I’d believe Bush or Cheney could have had full knowledge. This is just different enough.
