Wolfe and his fiancée, who witnessed the alleged assault, believe the attack was related to Wolfe being transgender, according to court documents.

You should weigh the costs and benefits of each. If you need help, in the United States table saws cause roughly zero deaths in the US every year, by contrast guns kill roughly 45,000 people annually.

Considering there are something like 450,000,000 firearms in this country, and since many of those deaths are deliberately self-inflicted, those odds don’t seem too bad. It ain’t like a firearm will just go off on its own. Certainly reason to preach caution, but not fear. Guns demand training, mindfulness, and care. They’re not for people who want to be coddled. You say it’s dangerous. Of course it is! That’s the point.

Nazis must not be the only group armed. Gun rights are minority rights. Every gun ban in this country has been used to oppress minorities, never to disarm fascists. You’re talking to us as if you’re the adult and we are children unaware of the risks. We are not. We are taking our lives and freedoms into our own hands, and preparing to defend them. You wanna use peaceful protest, go ahead. Nothing wrong with that. But you don’t get to tell minorities not to make use of the tools legally available for self defense. We indulged you before, when fascism still feared to take over. But they’ve never been defeated peacefully. Now it’s time for liberals to stop whining about us preparing against it. Not like y’all ever did a damn thing to prevent their rise in the first place.

Honestly you seem like a child unable to assess the risks. Sure - the odds of any individual in the US being killed with their own gun is small, but it is dramatically higher than the odds of them defending themselves against an assailant. It’s just an unnecessary game of russian roulette. Owning a gun is a hazard that makes people significantly less safe than not owning one.

Nice try ignoring every point I made. Yes, the risk of being killed with your own weapon IS small. Vanishingly small. And yet you certainly are worried about it happening to a stranger online who is at a much higher risk of being murdered than you are, you average milquetoast liberal. I don’t think you care about the person on the other end at all. Obviously you’re content to ignore the fact that transfolk are assaulted and murdered at wildly higher rates than the average white person. I think you just hate the idea of people using guns to defend themselves.
