I vaguely remember that one of the things Trump got upset about was that the Canadians were going to keep most of the tolls. That didn’t even go away when they explained to him that the bridge had been mostly paid by Canada. It was still unfair, according to (my vague recollection of) him.
His sense of fairness is roughly equivalent to a kindergartner, which is basically, “Anything that makes me unhappy is unfair.”
