    We absolutely agree on the culpability of the IOF stormtroopers. They were not forced, they chose this.

    Assigning blame does not preclude understanding the inner workings and tensions of Zionist society. You should know your enemy after all. You can call them victims if you want but I don’t think doing so makes sense in anything but the most relativistic understanding of the term and it has very limited utility. Maybe you could make the case that the general settler population are being relatively victimised by the hardcore Zionist leaders and maybe that claim might have some specific utility for propaganda purposes by increasing internal tensions among Zionists.

    But outside of that I don’t think calling for sympathy for settlers helps to understand the situation or to agitate for the resistance. Sympathy for settlers should be reserved for the vanishingly few of them who refuse to to take part in the genocide.
