It’s been more than a year since Justin Trudeau stepped down as Canada’s prime minister, but he keeps bouncing back into the public consciousness.
This week, he hopped into millions of social media feeds in a promo video for his popstar girlfriend Katy Perry’s new single Watch It Burn, setting off online debates about whether he looks cool, cringy or disgraceful.
The 54-year-old is one of several people seen jumping across the screen in the 15-second TikTok video while Perry sings in the foreground. Perry posted the video Thursday and has made several similar clips in different locations, which have been rolling out since the end of June.
I don’t begrudge the man a little personal happiness but I’ll never forgive him for steamrolling Canada’s only real chance at electoral reform, which he promised, the moment he realized it no longer benefited him and his party. So basically I don’t really care how he dances or who he’s dating, but I sure hope he can get fucked, because he fucked our entire country and I hold him personally responsible for that.
Understandable but at least he did some good and he’s not a million years old like the last three presidents we’ve had.
He also, as many other PMs have, pushed pipelines through indiginous lands.
Any conservative would have been far worse, but fuck him for many reasons!
