Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited Pastor Doug Wilson to give a sermon at the Pentagon in February as part of Hegseth’s monthly Christian worship service.
The pastor’s appearance was controversial.
Wilson is a self-described Christian nationalist who wants to repeal a woman’s right to vote, has defended slavery and believes homosexuality should be a crime.
Yanks becoming dumber. More at 10.
If you give enough attention and media space to anyone and anything people will eventually latch on.
It’s that simple.
Reconstruction was a mistake. All the slavers should have been shot.
Any LGBT+ person that votes Republican is delusional.
Any person of color that votes Republican is delusional.
Any woman that votes Republican is delusional.
Any person not in the 1% that votes Republican is delusional.Ofc. Hegseth clearly dislikes women’s suffrage. That he endorses this guy is expected.
Hegseth really, really dislikes himself, and punishes anyone he can reach, because of it.

You have to be deep into self-delusion if you are one or more of these groups and still in the conservative movement and voting for their party.
I still have to laugh that even as recent as just a few years ago, cons were trying to gaslight me into thinking that calling states without abortion after 2022 Gilead States was just being too nasty, and I should really mind my tone. I think I’ve been hearing men on hate radio “joke”, way back in the mid-90s, about how the country started on the path to hell once women were able to vote. This kind of stuff is very plain to see.
I think way too many just take the advances that we have for granted and just choose to be “non political” or vote conservative for certain identity-based reasons + the tax cuts, thinking the men/whites/heteros in their movement have any interest in maintaining what they’ve gained.
