The UN only intervenes on geopolitically weak targets that aren’t protected by member states who hold veto power. That’s why it’s only ever used against targets like African war lords. Israel’s protected by the US in that regard.

If its not an unplanned nuclear exchange or sudden lost of wealth from a bank, then it’s not a crisis scenario.

To clarify, which land are you referring to? The land being bombed, or the land firing the bombs?

In which land do the people need to be “ready for peace” before peace can occur?

The people in both must be ready for peace… in case that was not obvious.

Israel’s actions in Gaza are semi-justified on security grounds.

Israel’s actions in the West Bank, much less so. I think friends of the Palestinian cause would get a lot more traction and sympathy by talking more about the West Bank and less about Gaza. Gaza’s fate is sealed, and it will be a grim fate. Gaza is doomed. Tunnels will be destroyed, HAMAS neutralized, the cities ravaged, and when it’s all done Israel will hand the mess back to the inhabitants to deal with.
