Which Qwen?

Which Qwen?

I think it’s pretty cool in beszel you can set it up using docker so easily and pass the disks through for SMART monitoring and not have to have an extra solution.

I clicked on an animal cruelty video, instantly regretted it when I was a teen and it’s still in my brain to this day. We need to get our heads straight and stop letting soulless cretins take control.

I bought a dryer but I have too many filaments to keep them all in it. Once you’ve dried it, how long do they stay better in the open air before they go bad again?

Ha. My second printer is a DD ender 3 pro, I made a little clasp that holds cotton wool and clips around the filament so it cleans it as it goes into the head. It’s surprising how much dirt ends up in the wool. Anyway if it snaps overnight the clasp yeets off in a random direction and is waiting for me on the print bed in the morning. As my octoprint doesn’t have great night vision it being missing is the only way I can tell the filament has snapped. 🙂

I have a bunch of 6yo pla, not kept well, I’m slowly getting through. It loads and prints fine but snaps in the pipe overnight after the print finishes and everything cools. I’m planning on just unloading it after every print.

I hear ya. My e3pro was starting to act up so I decided to finally upgrade to a Snapmaker U1, which is great. But once I didn’t have to worry about getting stuck not printing I went back and did a complete overhaul of the e3, Btt skr board (2nd hand) new build plate, direct drive conversion etc. now it’s working better than ever. Somewhere Long the line the old girl started under extruding by like 50%+ I don’t know how it was even working!
I do amazing prints on the U1 but I’m having more fun with the ender.
If you are playing around at home I suggest seeking a MoE model. You get less penalty from having less vram and offloading to normal ram. I run Qwen 3.6 quant 6 on 250k context on a 16gb vram 64gb ram ddr4 PC. I get about 31tps which is enough for my use. After a little tweaking I have put results of it’s output into Claude Pro for vetting and it hasn’t found any flaws in the simple scripts and things I’ve asked it to make. I can only run Qwen 3.8 which is a dense model and not MoE. At low quant with not as much context. It spits out accurate short context answers if that’s all you need. So I prefer 3.6. Tiel is faster but Claude picked up more errors in what I was doing. Orinith kept getting into thinking loops for me so I stopped using it. Anyway I’m just a little guy.
