Many people have intervened many times. Minneapolis and Charlotte come to mind as city whose entire MO for weeks was intervening.

In many situations it seems like enough to film them and they back off, like here. For Joan Sebastian, shot and killed by ICE last Monday in Maine, he was driving and there weren’t many people around to intervene at 7am. Bystanders did film part of the incident after Joan had already been shot, and it’s part of the evidence against the crazy fuck that shot him. I don’t know how anybody could have stepped in based on what I saw.

I imagine myself witnessing situations like these so that I am ready.

Yes, thanks to Ossoff. I’ve seen too many versions of this conversation where the representative lets the issue drop, as though assuming that they should back off and hope viewers got the point. This was much better done and Ossoff’s clear-headedness is a breath of fresh air.

Gosh, I wish someone would make some similar pain happen in the U.S. We seem to only care about war with Iran when gas prices rise too high.

What about Uncle Sam cereal? It’s gone now, bought by a big cereal company and nearly immediately shut down, but there was nothing as fibrous and un-sugared on the American cereal market as that. Oh, sigh, Uncle Sam.

I mean, I wouldn’t care what brand it was if there were anything comparable. But given that it was the only one like it, I was extremely loyal.
