I wasn’t familiar with paint.net so I went looking and this stood out to me:

This is on their main page, in the main description of what paint.net is and what it does. Whatever happened to that fork of GIMP that dropped the fucking atrocious branding.

This right here is an example of why it’s bad, because this chump gets to get away with making a reference to the idea of a sexual “gimp.” It’s been a bad name for a long time now.

I get that rebrands are hard but fuck me, adding the word “The” before it makes it seem so crass and worthless in comparison to the other things in the list which aren’t given skeevy fucking nicknames.

You’re allowing people not directly involved in the project to fucking make it look weird and creepy by keeping the fucking name.

This kicks ass. I hate that my country is ruining itself and parts of the world with pointless weapons and war… but I am glad that the United States’ self-defeating idiocy has the whole world turning away from oil.

I already block an absolute fuck-ton stuff with Pi-hole, so I made a Wireguard VPN that pipes my phone through my local network. It’s been very effective at killing mobile app ads.

You don’t even need a ddns service because they support updating through simple https calls.

So I have a super tiny script that basically checks the WAN IP through ipify, then checks that against the routers current WAN IP, and if they match it does nothing and ends, but if its different, it sends out a curl with the new IP. I have it running every few minutes in a cronjob. It’s actually technically my service with the most uptime according to healthchecks.io.
