Invasions take months of planning. The Nazis were planning on invading not the soviets. The molotov-ribbentrop pact was signed 2 weeks before the Nazis invaded and signed 1 week before by the supreme Soviet.
Of course I’m sure you would’ve rather all of Poland go to the Nazis when they capitulated.
