The reason he can’t do that, as much as he would love to, is that Iran is under no obligation to back down just because the US does. They can, and will, continue to hold the strait hostage until the US comes to the table with a deal they like.

If TACO was an option, Trump would have done it months ago. It’s not, and that’s exactly why his reaction to this situation has been so wildly erratic. He has no idea how to deal with a situation where “just bail” isn’t an option.

I disagree. GCC would just make peace with Iran. Do that $300B investment deal they committed to under MoU, in exchange for no tolls? China will come and help cover everyone’s rebuilding. The toll requests were always fairly minimal compared to not selling any oil at higher prices. Trump/Republicans can frame is as though China is being forced to pay for Gulf security, ignoring any favours they get in return.

I heard some one describe it this way:

In previous wars, even Vietnam, the U.S. could have walked away at any time because the country we were fighting had no viable way to affect the U.S. outside of the war. However, Iran has established that they can affect the U.S. and President Pedophile’s administration by closing the strait.

At this point I’m not sure if makes any sense for them to do anything to make life easier for the U.S.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t hold out until the Pedo-in-chief offers to supply them with their own nuclear arsenal. All this administration has done is effectively demonstrate how much weaker they’ve made the U.S.

Trump is definitely incapable of doing JCPOA2, and sending plane loads of cash to Iran. US establishment (serves Israel) is incapable of tolerating peace with Iran. US will only ever fake negotiations, using Mossad agents as head negotiators no less. US will just leave eventually, and that is by far best outcome for the world. GCC/China/Iran will all get closer to each other, but energy will flow.

At this stage, it should be clear that US/Trump/establishment wants oil as high as possible. They would stop assisting Ukraine’s energy sabotage if they cared. They would leave world to figure out Gulf now if they cared about oil prices and deficits, or even recessions, and global financial stability (starting with Japan as first domino).

Fine. Short-term pain, strongest for those consumer countries that chose not to invest in renewables. Consumer countries are faced with two options: pay up, or adopt renewables. And the latter is the only viable choice to stop the acceleration of the climate crisis.

Not gonna lie, this kind of just reads like fan-fiction. It sits pretty firmly in the realms of “Well you can’t prove that it couldn’t happen”, but it’s not remotely clear to me what makes you think this is a likely outcome.

And it leaves your own question unanswered; “why not sooner than later?” If pulling out would be that easy, if the US could just bail, let China and the ME pick up the pieces, and somehow spin is as a victory, why haven’t they done it already?

I’ve explained the only answer. US/Trump wants oil prices higher, and Israel cares only about damage/endless war with Iran, and not any costs to Americans or world.

Yes spinning total withdrawal as a victory is groundwork Trump laid on 2nd day of war. Mission accomplished. GOP media will reinforce victory. DNC criticism will be pushed back as “Dems just hate America, and want higher oil prices, and endless wars”. Trump simply doesn’t want “victory”, is the only answer.

So “anyone who wants to leave is a traitor who wants higher oil prices” but also the US wants higher oil prices, even though increased costs are fucking murdering the GOP in the polls?

I’m sorry but every part of this is so incoherent that I can’t even begin to follow your reasoning, such as it is.

You’re absolutely right that Israel wants to keep the war going, but seem to be entirely unaware of, for example, the stories that have come out from White House insiders about Trump screaming at Netanyahu on the phone for fucking up his peace process. Really not sure how that squares with your idea that Trump secretly wants the war to continue.

So “anyone who wants to leave is a traitor who wants higher oil prices”

I’m just saying the republicans can shout as usual, that any criticism of the “total victory” (withdrawal) is just “TDS that wanted forever war” If you say the withdrawal is a false victory, just as in Vietnam, then surely if you don’t hate America, the US should fight a forever war with Iran, until that complete victory is reached.

the US wants higher oil prices, even though increased costs are fucking murdering the GOP in the polls?

Just as democrat politicians prefer money to winning, so do GOP. Higher oil prices means more money available for GOP. These money have direct line to Trump. If mid terms had any importance to Trump, Trump the Brave would victory retreat in bravest tale ever.

stories that have come out from White House insiders about Trump screaming at Netanyahu on the phone for fucking up his peace process.

Trump is mad/embarassed to be the only dotard president senile enough to fall for Netanyahu BS. Fine, Israel embarasses US’s inability to speak for Israel in peace/MoU concessions, but any anger towards bibi’s control over Epstein Mossad regime over Trump, has deeper causes than bombing Lebannon or Gaza. Just becuase he raises his voice to Master, doesn’t mean he doesn’t eventually obey, and hasn’t caused the victory withdrawal to happen yet.

See, the problem here is that this is just circular reasoning. Like, this…

If mid terms had any importance to Trump, Trump the Brave would victory retreat in bravest tale ever.

Only works because you’re starting from the presumption that Trump can retreat, and then defining your conclusions from that presumption. Same with your arguments about Trump and Bibi. You’re just claiming that you’re right because you’re right.

starting from the presumption that Trump can retreat

Of course he can. Declare victory in the process. You admitted that this would help GOP in midterms. The only conceivable alternative is a sincere respectful peace with Iran, and there is zero chance US establishment/Israel lets that happen. So withdrawal is only possible outcome. The reason for delay is political opportunities/pressures to delay.

Yeah, like I said, this is just fanfiction. You’re not actually listening to or taking in, any new information. You’re just rattling off whatever story you just wrote in your head. Fascinating for you, I’m sure, but not really what I’m here for.
