I’m still haunted by the realization that conservatives want hierarchy. They want underclasses. Even when they’re not the top! They don’t want free health care because then the wrong sort of people will get it!
They’re bad people! It’s not about “cost” or market efficiency or anything else they say.
People on the left have a belief that society should benefit everyone. No one should suffer from too little when someone has excess. It’s a pretty basic tenet of progressive belief.
People on the right vote like they don’t believe in society at all. They vote like everyone should fend for themselves and fuck the rest. Then they complain when their government benefits get cut and the prices get too high because it wasn’t supposed to be them that got fucked. They weren’t supposed to be the “rest.”
I don’t think they understand that progressive policies are intended to help the most racist piece-of-shit MAGA fuckwits as much as anyone else. They only want to have it better than someone, ANYONE else, so they aren’t at the bottom rung.
This is why when people post anti-right wing messages they don’t realize it’s not the right angle
Wrong angle: they only want the top class to access health care
Right angle: most Americans cannot afford to see doctors
This is because they read the message and think “hell yeah fuck em [derogatory word]s”
To address far right people. You ALWAYS have to frame it in a way where it’s about THEMSELVES.
It’s the same thing with anti-left wing messages. You’ll see fox News going “antifa wants more of our tax dollars to feed children”. It’s like …hell yeah.
