I really wanted him to be found not guilty.

where are the consequences?

Maga folks wouldn’t care if trump used a baby as a shield. Their brains are fermented in in-group loyalty.

The idea of shooting health insurance CEOs dead is heroic. Luigi is the current godwalker of the archetype, to borrow from old rpg Unknown Armies. (Godwalker being the best living representation, subject to the collective beliefs of humanity). It doesn’t really matter if he did it or not. The idea is there.

Of course they are. I’m happy to never use twitch but I feel like most people don’t care or don’t have the self discipline to stop.
It’s because the decision makers are fucking stupid.
I would be happier at work if we could just solve interesting problems. Instead we have mandates from management to do nonsense, or work in nonsense ways.
The people at the top are so removed from how work gets done, and how normal people live, they’re useless. Worse than useless.

I will laugh really hard at any ice agent who shocks his dick while trying to piss. Even if he dies. Especially if he dies.

This seems a good excuse to repost his fascinating post about estrangement: https://issendai.com/psychology/estrangement/missing-missing-reasons/

I mostly get music from Bandcamp. They have a pretty big library, but it’s mostly newer and independent bands on there. You won’t find, like, the beatles or taylor swift.
Sometimes I’ll buy stuff directly from bands, if it’s not on bandcamp, via their store or label or whatever. I used to get CDs, too, and rip them, but I haven’t done that in a while.

I will continue to not use Spotify. Buying drm free music is a long term win.
You cannot assume that the people making decisions are rational, smart, people. They may believe falsehoods, and act accordingly. They may be chasing a hidden goal (eg: “I get a bonus if I hit X metric, so I’ll kill good parts of the site to do it”)
I worked at a place where management was like “we want to increase time on site”, and the lead dev was like “I can just add loading spinners everywhere then”. Luckily management was a little smarter and move involved than that, and didn’t approve that strategy.

Conservatives value in-group solidarity more than almost anything else. That’s like their defining characteristic.
Incidentally, that’s almost always characteristic of a bad person. The antithesis of “love your neighbor”, for example.

Unfortunately, most people wouldn’t even understand what that means. And many wouldn’t care. People don’t seem to care about things, even as those things chew them up.
Getting peers on board is probably the way to go.
Because they’re assholes. They don’t care about making a good product. They care about making money. Even though they already have a lot of money, they need more. No matter the cost.
Sadly, most people won’t learn anything from this. We need a way to get the average idiot informed.

I’m pretty happy not using Spotify. I will continue to do so. My library of drm free music (mostly from Bandcamp) is just fine.

I read “dying of whiteness” a couple months ago and it’s literally that sometimes. Some people would rather die than let those people have nice things.

It’s not an insult. Your writing does not seem native, with errors and unusual phrasings, and was hard to decipher.
Sturgeon’s law ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturgeon’s_law ) is jokey but pretty well known. Not sure why you think I’m insulted.

I’m sorry, what? This reads like it went through a machine translation.
Are you trying to say that mods are good, and thus players have good ideas?
If so, I’d respond with a reference to sturgeon’s law. Many players are idiots. There’s a small minority that have good ideas. So my original claim that players are, on average, idiots, would hold up.
I’m still haunted by the realization that conservatives want hierarchy. They want underclasses. Even when they’re not the top! They don’t want free health care because then the wrong sort of people will get it!
They’re bad people! It’s not about “cost” or market efficiency or anything else they say.
