I care less about the identity politics than i do their personal politics. Caitlin Jenner is trans but she’s shit. We don’t need more status quo bullshit regardless who it comes from. If they parrot the politics of old white straight men their identity is irrelevant.

She’s DSA, which increases the odds of decent policies and the writeup in the article sounds encouraging to me.

If you read the article and nothing else, it’s already very clear she does not have the politics you’re somewhat racially applying to white straight men broadly, which is more targetedly invoked with the term “wasp”

Jaelynn Scott is set to become Washington’s first openly transgender legislator after sailing through last week’s primary.

She also could be one of only two members of the Democratic Socialists of America in the Legislature.

First two paragraphs of the article. I gently suggest reading, next time.

I read the article, DSA can’t be trusted anymore than the DNC. They both want to work within the confines of our own oppressors

Ah the old “anyone to the right of comrade Lenin himself isn’t to be trusted” rhetoric. The center square on my .ml bingo card. Yeah… have a great day and all that

Democrats of any flavor can never be trusted

You’re never going to change the political apparatus without interacting with its machinery. Refusing nuance might make you feel better, but it won’t move the Overton window or advance the vanguard. This behavior is part of why so many instances have defederated from .ml. Good luck with whatever you think you’re doing.

Theyve defederated because it disrupts their echo chamber. Can’t have someone whispering truths on the sidelines.
