The dirty foreigners brought nasty diseases that killed a lot of natives… not very superior
Always stunning, Americans’ lack of self-awareness in that respect. But then again, the same happened in Europe centuries earlier and probably everywhere in the world at some point.

Some people in Africa might be descendents of the people from whom all currently living people all over the world descended from some fifty thousand years ago.
Then again they could’ve immigrated to Africa from somewhere else sixty thousand years ago.
Countries and borders are a construct 🤷♂️But then again, the same happened in Europe centuries earlier and probably everywhere in the world at some point.
This is the thing that kills me about “white people give back stolen land and go back to Europe.”
Like, ok, I’m part British, part German, part French. Never been to any of the three, which one do I go “back” to then? And then, still can I? How do I know if I’m really Gaul, Norman, Vandal, Saxon, Beaker, hell even Roman? All of those occupied those regions at some point (and more, I’m sure, I need to learn more about Ye Olden Europe actually), which one am I (mostly, after half a fucking thousand years I’m sure I’m “mixed” if we’re splitting “white” like this) and then where were they originally from?
Like yes what happened 200yr ago was deplorable, but I was born like 30yr ago, tf you mean “go back,” to where?

Is not a thing said many if any people say and when it is said it’s not meant literally. It’s meant to make a point.
No one is illegal on stolen land.
Land of the free was a promise that we can still keep.
I agree on both points, especially the second – if a visitor to my region can do my job better, then they’re the best plan for my job.
Will I try and prevent that? Sure. I like eating and having a place to sleep . But we all know they’re better for everyone if they conquer my job.
Not to mention that the “job stealing” rhetoric has always not been borne out by the facts.
