Punchbowl ++reported++ on Monday that GOP leadership had expressed interest in creating a $4 billion grant program in order to incentivize states to enact parts of the bill, including requirements that voters re-register to vote with documents proving their citizenship and provide voter ID at the polls while outlawing mail-in ballots in most cases.

Take note that there’s no money for:

    • Daycare
    • Healthcare
    • Food assistance
    • Cancer research

But they can pull 4 billion dollars out of their ass to restrict voting rights whenever they damn well please.

And how many billions for the military? (Don’t get me wrong, there are bad actors out there and we should defend ourselves, but we shouldn’t be bombing children and fighting proxy wars for others)

        >1500 billion was the military budget. Even besides the war in Iran I think they pulled a few billion out of their ass on top of the previously decided budget.

They want to sneak it in with the reconciliation process? I don’t think the Senate parliamentarian is going to be too keen on that idea.
