Russians are not Muslims and weaponized immigrant’s religion is irrelevant. Completely different situations. Please look up what is happening/happened on Poland and Baltic borders with Belarus.

EDIT: I’m fairly sure at some point I wrote my real life experience here how I grew up in a racist country but completely changed my mind after learning English and opening my eyes to wider world view, but that was early Lemmy days, so I really don’t feel like looking it up. I could say that majority of my favourite artists are non-white, but I feel like that’s a stupid argument

Your answer perfectly plays into my initial argument that I can shit on every religion, but if I say those literally same words against Muslims, then I’m not anti-religion, suddenly I’m racist. Why are you so afraid of racism? Everyone is somewhat racist so it is not a big deal honestly. You even admit you have taken steps to distance yourself from it so you recognize it. That is a good thing.
You may need some more work on deprogramming yourself from decades of ingrained racism. There is no shame in this. I think you are being a little dishonest trying to shift your problem onto the community. It is totally understandable though.
