    Agree with all of this, but why then does the author stay on HN? It’s as with Xitter, at some point staying on the platform makes you complicit.

      I’d assume because there’s no alternative that’s good enough.

      HN has its problems, but it’s still worthwhile if you can ignore the politics and focus on technical discussions.

          I disagree, it’s ok for forums to have a focus. Hacker News has always been focused on tech and startups
