  • Well we definitely disagree on what obstruction means. I could list countless successful obstructions the Republicans did to Obama. The supreme court pick being the massive one.

What successful obstruction have the Democrats been able to pull off? Because all I’ve seen have been a couple government shutdowns that they eventually gave up on. Some unsuccessful (and questionably successful) redistricting measures at the state level? What have the federal government representatives in the Democratic party actually been successful in obstructing?

Because, so far, it’s been judges and states doing their best to delay while DC seems to be happy with “setting records for longest filibuster” or writing letters that do nothing.

I could count on my fingers the number of Democrats in DC actually making any effort. And they’re all the ones connected to DSA and it’s momentum.

Don’t defend the entire party because AoC and company are in it. Criticize them for sitting on their asses while taking AIPAC donations.

  • I think your definition of doing something and mine are different.

“But they don’t have enough votes” is the next excuse.

Well, we’re literally seeing the entire democratic party worried about their party becoming too popular as DSA members drop record wins and draw massive popular support. They seem to all be very concerned about the do nothing party actually electing people that want to DO SOMETHING.

I’m critical of the Democrats because another “strongly worded letter” has deluded people like you into thinking that “pointing” to the problem will solve it.

It’s ok. You and I both want the same thing I’m sure. But please don’t make excuses for these Democrats in office trying to show some small backbone as the DSA just beat a 30 year incumbent with a 29 year old socialist famous for saying “Fuck Kamala Harris”.

We’re winning. You can come along for the ride. We’re really nice, have snacks, and we’re fighting for healthcare and an end to funding genocide.

  • Do you think it’s a good move for DSA to primary Bernie Sanders? I hope not. Because that would be political suicide.

You’re having a completely different conversation my friend. I am talking about the reality that having a campaign “against Bernie” would be like shooting the momentum of the DSA in their own foot.

I’m not talking about whether he’s a liberal zionist or not. Or whether he took “too long”. I’m talking about good political moves and strategy to actually win. If you are listening to people in DSA seriously consider trying to primary Bernie you are likely talking to a CIA op.

DSA wants to actually TAKE POWER. If you’re analysis is not based on moves to make actual material change I don’t think you should call yourself an ML.

All I want from you: “yeah, DSA trying to primary Bernie would be a really bad idea and cause confusion within the voting population. I was just pointing to him as an example of how much our momentum has moved left”

  • It is the flex they think it is. He and the entire admin are getting away with everything. Will he be held to account?

There won’t be unless their are trials on the level of Nuremberg with actual justice being carried out. If what we get next is another liberal admin that takes power and doesn’t hold war criminals accountable this will only get worse.

People don’t want to hear it, but, Obama and his administration were the liberalism that sparked the permission for fascism. Not holding the Bush administration accountable for torture and war crimes further normalized that people in power will not be made to answer for their crimes. He didnt even close gitmo and next Democrat after Obama felt comfortable funding and enabling a genocide. Are we really surprised the war crimes of past administrations are now happening at home through ICE?

The trials need to start with Trump and his administration. But all of these war criminals and pedophiles need to be prosecuted. All of the CEOs that profited from making us sick, polluting our world, and selling their weapons.

America doesn’t need another “reaching across the aisle” liberal in the white house. We need unapologetic leftist policies that put a rope around the neck of the Epstein class.

  • The “he deserved to die” outrage over Platners reddit comments literally solidified every veterans vote in Maine for Platner.

It’s kinda funny. They (media and the establishment) are so out of touch that they tried to make outrage around a comment literally every veteran would universally understand. Mocking someone in the military for their own stupidity and incompetence that should have gotten them killed.

I’m not a veteran myself. But, I have enough veteran friends to know that that is exactly how they talk about people they served with. It’s like military banter 101. The fact that they tried to form a “he wants troops to die” story out of it. It makes literally everything else they bring up useless.

I’ll just be happy when I have to stop hearing about this guy. Hope he wins. But, holy shit, he’s not worth this much attention.
