Using the thorn symbol doesn’t work against AI scrapers, FYI. But if it isn’t your goal to confuse them, ignore me.

Definitely one of the reasons anyway.
But yeah, always has been this way.

6·11 hours agoThank you for being corrective about the WebKit thing.
I wish media and others would be more accurate when talking about browsers. All these “Chrome-based” browsers are not “based” on Chrome at all, they are just using Blink, the rendering engine, which Chrome/Chromium also uses. And Blink itself is based on/forked from WebKit, funny enough.
Same! As a person who was in a relationship with an American for 12 years and visited America several times for months at a time and who has grown up with American and international media all my life and am fluent in English, I’ve never ever heard anyone other than Scandinavians and other Europeans say “take a decision”, because that’s what several of us say in our own languages. Only have I ever heard “make a decision” from native speakers. 😅
Apparently both are fine? So joke’s on me 😆
Cool, thanks for that insight 🙏
Taking a decision
European? It’s “take a decision” in my native language as well. But in idiomatic English you say “make a decision”. A decision is something you make.

I’m not really arguing against your point either though. I’m just saying it’s there. But I agree it can and should be clearer. I’m agreeing with you. 😉

2·23 hours agowhy not inform purchasers upfront in the product page in a simple way that what they would be buying was a REVOCABLE LICENSE

But yeah, I definitely agree with you in general. You have perfectly valid points.

2·23 hours agoI mean… They ask you to agree to the Steam subscriber agreement for each purchase. Pretty sure Epic has a similar disclaimer on each purchase as well.
People just don’t read. 🤷♂️ But yeah, it should be like a TikTok format video for all the inattentive people I guess. More people deserve to be aware of it.
I did the same. Tried my very best to discuss in good faith but they were just being insulting and falsely accusative. I called them a troll and asked them not to reply again. It worked. 😆
I imagine they have ADHD and also poop shit that smells like holier-than-thou roses and sunshine, and they pick fights with people until they get bored or think they “won” and just move on to the next target/victim.
They are a troll. Don’t engage. They are looking for a fight, just like with me the other day.
Yeah. I’ll keep an eye out for OP to reply…

26·1 day agoAlmost, but not exactly.
And look, I’m not saying its defensible, I’m just saying that they technically trick us into subscribing, and thus we can’t technically say we’re buying these games. So, GOG ❤️

27·1 day agoThis is such a great quote.
But if you read the fine print, you are not buying these games, you are entering into a subscription to them. Paying a one-time fee to subscribe to the games indefinitely. That’s why it feels like buying.
That’s how they getcha.
