Shhh you’re a free software

It was so funny when the latest “Amoc might shut down” articles came out and my country’s news outlest had a vey panicky contest on who can find most scientist to claim that “all is okay and it will never ever shut down!!” All is fine, just continue your consumings. Buy that new car, go on that vacation, you deserve it buddy! Let’s spend money!

Could we induce one blowing up with some sticks? (Of dynamite?)
We have tried that, but it always comes back to the “please apply by our web portal” and then to “why don’t we get any aplications?”
My local chain grocery store has asked us, local people, multiple times to apply as we have been shopping and slightly chatting with the staff. We have applied via the chain’s systems. And yes, they expect you to send your CV and a written letter. Then you write out all the info in your CV to their forms. Then you take 5-10 videos of yourself answering their questions.
If you make through this, you get to the Second Level. There you’re supposed to attend a Teams group meeting where you “fight” with random people who are also applying for the jobs, in different locations.
If you get through this, you get to the Third Level where you will be invited to another Teams meeting with one-on-one interview. If you get through this, you might get the job.
The job search is obviously not done by the local store, it’s a “service” the chain buys from some other company. None of us have gotten through. The store seriously needs employees, they have the “search” constantly open and keep asking the locals to apply. The store has too little workers, it’s not working properly. Shelves are unstocked, fruits rotten, staff is cranky and angry. The boss complains in local newspaper that “the locals just aren’t applying for some reason!”
I’m honestly just waiting to see what kind of new side-effects gets listed in the next 5-10 years with these weightloss drugs. I wouldn’t risk anything with this level new medicine, and I’m struggling with losing weight right now.
I get scared of the botox faces, both seen from a screen and IRL. They speak, but face doesn’t move. No emotions. It’s just unsettling. And it’s hard to take the person seriously, even if they were smart.
Often it looks like that the person would be very pretty, definitely not a mirror breaker, under it all. Even makeup often looks like the person would look better after cleaning the skin with a butter knife. I keep hearing from men that their ladies are most prettiest after waking up or just without makeup, but it’s not like they can say that without the lady thinking they’re being sarcastic.
Well, but I’m used to WinRAR and never had any issues. Only need it once every few months. And it’s pretty fun when the software tries to tell me that it isn’t a free software. What a silly thing to say!
