2 days agoAlso most consumer demand indirect. Few people buy RAM sticks but a lot of people buy laptops, tablets, smartphones, TVs, consoles, cars, fridges, toasters etc.

They were never worth that much. But scams are profitable if you can enter early and find a bigger sucker to pass the hot potato. Which helps the hype.
I wish all Elon companies a swift crash and burn.
More importantly, platforms don’t respect it. Any malicious outside actor shouldn’t be allowed to their malice.
This meme is my pet peeve, it annoys me so much. It cannot be further from the truth.
Valve doesn’t do nothing. They intentionally operate their platform in ways that keep customers satisfied, while making long term investments into hardware and OS development. That’s not “nothing”. That’s doing a lot of things right.
