I mean, it’s tolerable, and great for self hosting. Searching for “cat” definitely gets some false positives and straight up wrong choices. The facial recognition ML is pretty good, though. It’s kind of wild to suddenly be able to watch family members or myself age by searching for one person and scrolling through 2 decades of photos.
Year, it’s fantastic. Or at least has been for the last couple of months.

The greatest thing selfhosting ever did was give me an easy way to search “cat” in immich and get rid of all the stupid, useless photos of places and people. Just get me to the good stuff, man.
