When I wanted to write my own game engine in 2015, people just directed me to Unity. Some people even said that unless I want to work for some company that actually develops the engines, I don’t need to learn API or anything like that. It took a while to people to point me in the direction of SDL for input and displaying a framebuffer (back then I used CPU rendering, as almost no one cared about pixel alignment, hence why my engine is called PixelPerfectEngine).

When I first got into emulation as a very early teen, I’ve heard a rumor about an admin of an Amiga ROM site being shot to death for piracy. However, nothing similar comes to against those who do it on an industrial scale, specifically to destroy a portion of the human experience.
From what I’ve heard, the GPU in the M-series chips are just scaled-up PowerVR derived GPU, with some of the greatest limitations being carried over.
Also the CPU is more optimized for parallel-processing, and many games are still seldom optimized for that.

Things like lemon acid also has an E number. This lead to the conspiracy theory claiming lemon acid is a nazi invention, not made from lemons, and is named as such to both fool people believing it’s natural and that lemon doesn’t have “alkalizing” properties.
