  • As dual_sport_dork said, you really shouldn’t worry about it, and you’re probably better off not having anything to do with Admiral Patrick, but if you really wanted to pursue it, you could PM Admiral Patrick and (very nicely) ask him how you ended up on the list and ask him to remove you. (Right now, he’s probably getting flooded with messages that are likely to generally piss him off (more so than usual), so it’s definitely worth being extra nice if you want that to have any chance of success.)

  • Oh sweet. Perchance if I 🥺👉👈 fill my posts with keywords like “what would the french do” and “crossposted from https://anarchist.nexus/”, famed boot licker Admiral Patrick will declare death to me and try to remove me from reality and then maybe I can be part of the list of proletairat freedom unit users in his “policy.json” list where I can claim Tesseract is censoring me. Hey @[email protected]: ACAB.

Edit: Oh wait. Has the host that serves that “policy.json” file disappeared? My machine is saying “could not resolve hostname.” Hmmmm. It may be too late for me.

Python rebuilds don’t cause (noticeable) problems for AMD64 Arch Linux.

And any time anyone offers any kind of help on the Arch Linux Arm forums to try to help resolve the issue, the admins ignore and/or lock the thread. They’re not open to help and the people on the forums are super frustrated about it.

My mother has two chihuahuas. Neither one needs an angel chihuahua or devil chihuahua on their shoulders. Each one barks enough for three dogs all on their own.

(This is no reflection on chihuahuas in general. She once had another chihuahua who would never bark, ever. Until we specifically taught her to bark on command for a treat. And after that, on command was the only time she ever barked.)

  • I have to wonder how the intellectual property shakes out with Beholders and Mindflayers and Kuo-Toa and so on that WotC has trademarked. I think if you’re doing business on DM’s Guild, I think they let you do more than if you’re not, but I haven’t found any indication that MZ4250 is doing business on DM’s Guild.

I once knew an author who wrote a book with a character whose name was the same as a D&D character (I don’t remember which one… it wasn’t “Vecna” or some super-well-known character name, though). Aside from the name, it was a completely unrelated character, and the name collision was entirely coincidental. He got a cease-and-desist from WotC. And he didn’t have the means to fight anything, so he quickly unpublished the book and hoped they’d leave him alone. (They did, AFAIK.) At least he didn’t get harassed by the Pinkertons.

But yeah. WotC is basically Satan, and not in a cool way. (Oh, sorry. I misspelled “Hasbro”.)
