To add to this for those who may be reading it like it’s only technically related: “we all lift together”.
We all live in the same world and any positive contribution to anything will ultimately contribute positively to other things, the domino effect; perhaps even the thing you wish you could contribute to directly but “can’t”. People who care, who try, who persist despite the pain and hardship, who try to do their best, who learn and improve and find that kind of lifestyle fitting for them - are those who contribute to all they’re aware of as well as not.
By opening a bread factory, bread in your area gets cheaper > more supply > your area imports less > some other country with an open source contributor exports less > that country has more supply > it’s cheaper for that developer to buy bread
A silly made up example that may not exactly be right itself with the too many factors accounted for, but you get the point. Indirect contribution is contribution as well. This applies to all kinds of contribution, which is why a someone with good intentions that improves themselves in whatever way is a contributor as well.
What my point is, and of the original comment (if I’m not mistaken) is that doing your best truly and genuinely is enough. Not in a condescending “sure lil bro, ig that counts too” way, but in the way of the lyric I really love quoting with which I started my comment “we all lift together” (banger song from a banger game btw)
Maybe the real backrooms were the friends we made along the way 😌
Literally 1984 (sorry, had to)
You know how the loading screen is faster if you don’t look at it? Well that.
As a serb, yall are only now getting temperatures we’ve had since I know myself lmao, stuffs always been this bad, it’s only now obvious everywhere
There is a “I use arch btw” programming language though…

Shout out to all my serbian ex-chuds, whom were coping that we’re also (geographically) europe, that after hearing the temperatures EU citizens are complaining about finally decided to stop coping.
Context: 40 degrees has been the very normal overall average for us for years, not foreign to much higher either (some people tell us of the legend of when they once saw 36 in summer during the day and in the city (only those whom have also seen it themselves believe them))
