What a terrible headline! It isn’t misleading for clickbait, it’s just… inconsequential. The headline belies the main point of Broche’s thinking:
Rather than pleasing an imaginary audience, Broche reveals that development on Clair Obscur was focused on satisfying the developers.

They got super lucky on a niche genre. Apparently JRPGs are not marketable. They are going to make the game they want to make and hopefully you will want to play it.
