I’ve had this one in my collection for a lot time.

A coworker once told me that the Confederacy couldn’t win because the North had the industrial advantage. I said that sounds like wisdom in English, but it’s a joke in Vietnamese.

The North’s victory being inevitable is part of the lost cause Neo-Confederate myth. It’s purpose is to excuse the South’s loss and obscure the record of her military blunders.

      Pfft they had free labor.

What, their slaves couldn’t crank out weapons, armor, and supplies as fast as our industry?

Huh. Guess that means we’re better?

Gotta love majority white, small-town rural America!

Though to be honest, it mostly doesn’t look quite this extreme, so I’m guessing this is some specific event. On the other hand, if you go to just about any kind of festival of some size (dozens of people), then you’ll almost certainly see at least one confederate flag themed item. Maybe a shirt, a hat, a wallet … rarely the flag itself. License plate holders with that look are quite common on vehicles.
