Some absolute bugger hit my car likely while parking and drove off, luckily the bumper on my car is very easy to replace and I can find a replacent for £50. Still pretty miffed : (

Drill a couple of holes opposite each other and “stitch it back together” with cable ties?

Its a classic car that I enjoy keeping looking good, would rather just replace the bumper.

Can you plastic weld it from the back? Which plastic is the bumper made of?

ABS with glass fiber, you can heat staple it from the back.

That OP can get a replacement for £50 makes this kinda pointless. Plus it’s never gonna look as nice since it’s an unpainted bumper.

I think a cracked bumper makes it look more authentically French though!

      Ghetto old school.

Today we use heat staples and a $20 tool from amazon.

I mean, why would you replace that perfectly fine bumper? Just because it got a little tear?

I don’t get people who drive nice cars. It is a mode of transport. Shit is going to get dinged by use. Just get a shit car and don’t care if it gets scratched.

Because I like classic cars and would like for it to remain looking half decent? Im not even a nut who polishes their car every week.

On the bright side, your lens seems to be in one piece! I need a full pic of the car btw, it otherwise looks mint.

I would’ve been very very upset had the light been broken, got it new old stock and wasnt cheap about 3 months ago. One of my fave pics of the car:

Bummer. At least you can still get the parts for cheap though, and the job is easy too.

Imagine the damage to their car, they may not be as lucky as you, hopefully. The damage likely will cost them more than it will cost you, at least.

I would wager given that older cars are built like a conrete brick that it did fuck em up a bit.

It’ll only cost them more if they have it repaired, plenty of people don’t.
