I watched an episode from one of the latest seasons, after not watching any after maybe season 13 or something, i was surprised at how good it actually was

Haven’t bothered finding out where i can stream it so i haven’t seen any more since then either, but i would if i stumbled upon it at some point

Sometimes I wonder if it really was funny or if it just seemed funny to us because we were kids and had lower standards

Seasons 1-8 are still gold (apart from that one flashback episode). Around the middle of season 9 things started going downhill and haven’t stopped.

      I can attest to this.

I recently reached Season 10 and the episodes are not nearly as wholesome/Aesop as the first 9 Seasons. Like, I know Homer is dumb and all, but some of those seasons had him learning to be more accepting of Lisa/Bart/Marge/Apu/etc. In the current season I’m on, I just now saw the first episode that gave me those same feeling. It’s the one where Homer and Lisa go to the sensory deprivation tanks and it is Lisa this time who realizes that she was in the wrong and can do better.

I’m not saying every single episode should be like that, but those stand out to me more because they are more than “Homer does something incredibly stupid HAHA”.

      Just my two cents. :-)
