Because angering the left is their favorite pastime. It’s just as good as making their own lives better because of their zero-sum thinking.

Not necessarily, depends on which party is in favor at the time (assuming democracy is still a thing and all that). Pennsylvania is a swing state, so if the political climate is right he could very well run as a Republican and win.

No matter which way Penn swings next cycle, Fetterman won’t have the support to beat a challenger from either side. He’s tainted to everyone, so anyone could beat him.

I mean, according to the article that’s not the case. He’s essentially switched his Dem support for Republican support and vice versa, so it seems his total amount of support hasn’t changed much.

But will that save him in the primary?

I think the people who like him are generally not primary voters. People joke he’s a republican but modern republicans are so extreme he’s still pretty far from the center of that party. I don’t see him thriving against any primary challenger in either party.

They said the same crap about Specter. He’ll try to prop himself up, but at the end of the day, he’ll lose the primary.

I fucking hate what he did, but his actions are such a fascinating story of the impacts of brain damage and how much it aligns with certain ideology.
