Save you a click: the Project 2025 agenda continues.

The authorities will have to decide whether to sanction drilling in a protected wetland that is home to rare birds and the muskoxen on which local hunters depend. At the earliest, drilling could now commence in the winter of 2027, the government and the company said.

Greenland Energy, formed last year, has announced plans to spend $60m (£44m) raised from investors to fund drilling in exchange for a majority stake in the project.

Its representatives have said its oil venture is “not related to American annexation”, yet the company has established multiple connections to the Trump administration.

Aren’t they based in the United States? How can a company like this be domiciled in the United States, doing this kind of work, and not have ties to this administration and its bullshit annexation?

Hell, even before his second inauguration, companies like Apple, legal firms, universities, and so on were and are bending the knee, and they don’t have any reason to necessarily seek out government help to drill on foreign soil.

Who the fuck would be stupid enough to believe that an energy company based in the United States and drilling elsewhere is going to have some kind of “hands off” treatment from the bandits that are in the WH right now?

I don’t think they care who believes it. I think it’s the same tactic used by the fascists at home: lie loudly and bet the other side isn’t willing to react firmly enough to call them out or stop them.
