Hey good point actually, at least the sacrificial plane was a real “Air Force One” in its capabilities and defenses. Unlike the gold tchotchke plane. And I like thinking how uncomfortable the military plane probably was. The fact no attack happened suggests someone knew he wasn’t on the sacrificial plane. Hegseth probably texted a friend about it. I’ll make up a theory: Hegseth made the whole thing up to get some cuddle time with his Dom
I saw a take that was just “he has no attention span, the only way to get him to care is to make it feel engaging and exciting”
And thus the idea of the attack was crafted to get him re-invested in the war. To make him see it as important and not just an annoying thing he wants to go away. And… given that kegseth went with him… yah… feels like a stunt.
The C32A, the plane Trump actually went on, pretty much has all of the same stuff as the VC25A. It’s just based on Boeing 757, which is a single aisle airliner.
