Donald Trump’s closest aides say that the fact he’s obsessing over pet projects while his approval ratings plummet shows he’s in total denial about the bonfire he’s made of his second presidency.

Trump, 80, dropped to 32 percent approval in a Quinnipiac survey released last week. That’s the lowest figure of his political career—lower, even, than his numbers in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol Building. Sixty-eight percent of voters now say he’s not paying enough attention to the issues weighing on most households.

Republicans: Yes, oooh, we know this one. Is it, manipulate him to doing what you want while publicly refusing to question him so you remain in his favor?

They are waiting until the point where Vance can serve 2 full terms. Right now I believe he would still be only eligable for 1.

Once that date passes I think they might make a move. Force Trump out, give him a pardon or let him “escape” to Russia. Then its just them declaring some national emergency and oopsy doopsy no election in 28. Only issue is Vance has the charisma of warmed over shit. If they can get anyone with half the juice Trump has its gonna get worse somehow.

IMO aside from being a black hole of charm, I don’t think Vance could keep up the pace of fuckery Trump has. Hard to focus on Trump shooting someone in Times Square yesterday when he’s bombing Greenland today and tariffing the moon tomorrow all while posting 35 tweets a day with random capitalized words calling sesame street communist and depicting himself as elvis via AI. Vance lacks that juice.
