Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said in an interview with NBC News that he will encourage progressive voters to still back Democrats on the ticket in November even if moderates are victorious in the primaries.
I think it’d be a lot easier and smarter for Bernie to convince the centrist dem leadership to stop supporting genocide and at least pretend to give a crap about the needs of the voters than bernie asking all dem voters to support genocide (thats implicitely what he is doing if we are real about his ask) and to support a dem party that ignores the peoples needs.
Why would the centrist leadership do what they are paid not to do? This shift won’t happen through convincing but through losses of centrists in primariea and victories of progs in generals.
Here in reality that isn’t happening before November (3 months). And Bernie knows it.
Time to put our adults pants on and make adult decisions to attempt to save our democracy. Once the fascists are out we can force the Democrat party in a more progressive direction.
