Given that the opposition to this very obvious conman’s soft coup and systematic destruction of everything good in America consists of: Centrist Democrats still looking for compromise, left-wing media that is becoming increasingly Fox-ified, lots of justifiably angry people who fundamentally do not understand our antiquated system of government (and that it needs to change before what they want to happen can happen), about a dozen elected officials actually doing something, and no one who has bothered to write a counterplan to Project 2025, I’m not liking the odds. I fear that things will have to get much worse before political will and consciousness align enough to stop this downward spiral the USA has been riding since Reagan.
