      It’s absolutely luck if you don’t know what you’re doing, which is most people. Also, changing the local microclimate is possible to a degree, but depending on how much you need to change it, it’s too expensive. Depending on where you live and what crops you’re trying to grow, even water might be an issue that pushes it into “infeasible”.
