There’s enough sugar in natural lemon juice to ferment well enough to get the job done. All you need to add is time and open air for the first day, and you’ll have an endless supply of alcohol.

Once you see bubble start forming seal it up to keep excess and less wanted bacteria from piling in, unseal to vent the building co2 on the regular, and when the bubbling dies down, drink up. If you save some starter from your last batch to toss into each new batch it will help get a happy yeast colony growing faster, for more faster drunky.

funny thing about lemons, life didn’t give them to us. We crossbred them into existence. We made the lemons.

Ah yes, The Aperature Laboratories Life Gives You Lemons Launcher, a tool developed to inspire the technicians working on the combustible lemon to work faster.

Build quality (over 10 pounds of solid metal, no plastic parts), completely disassemble-able/maintenance friendly, replacement parts available (and have been for over a decade), and the 20:1 leverage gets a ton of juice out. Like enough that I have to drastically adjust recipes that say things like “the juice of two limes”. And not that this makes it better, but does affect the price, it’s made in the US. The target market isn’t residential, it’s busy bars with fresh squeezed citrus, and for that, the speed, reduced waste, and durability (and lack of tiring out your arm) make up for the cost. For residential, it’s a ridiculous splurge. When I bought it, they went for $400 and I found it on sale for $320. I’m guessing the cost of aluminum has gone up since.

I loved this comment. It felt exactly like when you ask a car salesman the price of a car and they start telling you a bunch of other facts about the car to distract you from hearing the answer to your own question. Very genuine to the actual experience.

Just a couple of posts above was the news about the Mullvad CEO being a white suprematist. ‘Nuff lemons.

Sorry afk. Not sure yet. Few days load balancing on cheap/free services that I usually only use for low priority traffic. Due diligence just takes me longer than it used to so I don’t know yet.

For temporary solutions, DDG and AdGuard-VPN are reliable and check the boxes usually considered most important, but they don’t offer the power user / enterprise features some need to replace mulvad.

Before Mulvad I used NordVPN. So I may reevaluate them first, but in truth I’m close to just skipping all of this and paying the fuck off fee to run my own servers.
