Elections were mandated to be called by the constitution by July 3. But there’s realistically zero chance of the US to support a government change as all their allies in the Venezuelan administration are plainly playing their game, is chavismo with oil business with the US.
Unless there is a genuine opposition to the US then an election would not be a threat to the US
