    It’s really depressing that it’s a genuine surprise when the supreme court rules in a way that isn’t fascist and oppressive/corrupt.

      5-4. So one vote away from essentially ending federalism. But I guess we’re still not quite at full fascism.

    They also denied to hear his request to overturn his sexual abuse conviction.

    I fear these “small” wins are just the court preparing to make some horrendous and damaging future decision that leads the USA even closer to fascism.

      Just wait till tomorrow. That’s when they’re scheduled to release all the remaining outstanding cases, including

      • Birthright citizenship
      • Trans discrimination cases
      • Campaign finance

      i don’t think tomorrow is going to be a good day.

      Edit: Welp, 1 for 3. Birthright citizenship was upheld (good), but money now is the only voice in politics and trans people can further be discriminated against.
