About $5 million of the haul came from donors who develop, own or operate data centers, a Tribune analysis found. The other share of the donations came from people and groups with indirect financial ties.

    They idea of putting data-centers in Texas astounds me… Hurricanes on the gulf, and tornadoes throughout make it a horrible place for computing…

    Add that to the fact that their power grid is held to gether with duct-tape and bailing wire… There’s gonna be a lot of generators running a lot of the time…
