In case you don’t actually know anybody under the age of about 35, the next time you are riding a bus or are a passenger in a car, start watching other drivers and see how many of them literally cannot put their phones down. Like even if they aren’t actually looking at them while they drive, which is like a solid 30% of all drivers, another significant chunk is holding the phone even when not in use. The shower is not even a high bar at this point.

You’re only allowed to use a phone mounted in a cradle for Audio calls and GPS navigation. (Uber, etc is a grey area)
Don’t use your phone while driving. Just don’t do it.
Wouldn’t advise them to do that if they rent a car in Norway. The fine is about $1100 if they’re caught, plus three points on the license.
